Composite Rockers
The utilization of our patent-pending carbon composite rockers in the valve train results in substantial reductions in weight, thereby leading to notable enhancements in power output and efficiency. Due to the inherent mechanical properties exhibited by our composite materials, it is observed that they possess a stiffness approximately 1.5 times greater than that of 4130 steel when considering volume. Moreover, they facilitate exceptionally accurate valve displacement, a characteristic not observed in metal valvetrains, thereby enhancing efficiency, power output, and the lifespan of the valvetrain. Moreover, they also address and mitigate detrimental harmonic vibrations generated by the rapid movements of transient responses observed in a high-performance valvetrain system.
Why Composite Parts?
Our composite parts are significantly lighter than traditional steel, titanium, and aluminum parts. Switching to lighter parts will increase your motor response time and acceleration. Lighter parts also carry less momentum, meaning they will put less stress on other parts and increase safety for your driver and engine.
Composites have a different resonance frequency than steel and aluminum which, eliminates the harmful harmonic effects that accumulate in an all-metal engine. Your other engine parts will also benefit by experiencing less stress and fatigue, making composite parts a long-term and cost-effective investment.
The properties of composites can be optimized for different situations by varying fiber types, fiber architectures, resin systems, and manufacturing processes. Through years of rigorous research and development, we have engineered each of our parts to leverage the benefits of specific treatments and formulas. Because of this, our parts are just as strong or stronger than incumbent parts while being a fraction of the weight.
These factors translate to a significant increase in the performance, longevity, and safety of your engine. As the leader in advanced structural composites, we are revolutionizing the automotive industry.
